Conference Pear
The Conference is a large and slender pear which sometimes has a slightly irregular shape. The skin is often covered with light russeting which gives the pear natural protection. The flesh is firm and juicy. The Conference pear is an excellent eating pear.
The Conference is typically eaten as a dessert pear but can also be used for cooking or in salads. it can be eaten when firm, directly after purchase, with or without the skin, but is also very tasty to eat when ripe.
Leave them in your fruit bowl until the pear becomes slightly soft. Peel the skin off and enjoy the soft and juicy flesh.
